Started in 2017, the guide sought to provide a balanced look at the industry surrounding the Cannabis plant, particularly in the United States, with a strong focus on laboratory testing. As more U.S. states (and other countries) have legalized the plant's use, the cannabis industry continues to rapidly evolve in ways expected and unexpected. It also adds timely topics such as how the insurance market is catering to cannabis companies, and it highlights new efforts to standardize not only laboratory testing but also accreditation of testing labs. One other major move: we've moved primary hosting to this wiki from LIMSwiki, a wiki similar in vein to this one but with a strong focus on laboratory informatics technology. Enjoy!

Hello! If you've landed on this page by accident or through a link, you probably notice there's not much here. That's because we're in the initial stages of setting up this wiki. Inevitably, we hope for it to be a repository of cited information regarding the business of cannabis and hemp, including the science, medicine, and regulation that surrounds it.

It will take some time to get the wiki to even a minor state of being useful. In the meantime, check back often to see how we're doing!

I'm pleased to announce that the third edition of Past, Present, and Future of Cannabis Laboratory Testing and Regulation in the United States is now complete. This third edition builds on previous material, adding more historical perspective on changing regulations, standards, and social impacts. Enjoy!

We've seen a bit more momentum in getting content added to the wiki, but like many a wiki, it's most certainly a gradual process. Most notable over the last month we've added a section for and created a "glossary" of sorts for listing most of the available wiki content. As new pages get added, they are getting categorized into the glossary, which is also now available as a "List of articles" link in the left-hand site navigation. Future plans include adding more encyclopedic content, journal articles, and self-developed research. Stay tuned!
