The Center for Advanced Research in Environmental Genomics (CAREG) at the University of Ottawa performs academic research on "the effects of environmental stressors on genome function and expression."[1]

History

The center was founded in 2000 as a research partnership among many influential research groups at the university.[1] The lab used to perform chemical Cannabis laboratory testing and extraction for the country's various cannabis programs[2] but no longer seems licensed to do so as of July 2022.
